Individual therapy sessions consist of one-on-one appointments with me at my Boca Raton office. It is initially recommended that individual sessions occur once per week and frequency may be decreased over time, as you progress through treatment, or may occur more than once per week, if deemed appropriate.
What is Individual Counseling?
Individual counseling is a one-on-one conversation between you and me, focused on your immediate concerns and your future goals. Unlike talking with a friend or family member, therapy provides a safe, confidential, and objective space where you can share openly without fear of judgment.
As humans, we’re naturally social, and talking through our thoughts is one of the best ways to process emotions. But sometimes our struggles feel too heavy to share with loved ones—or even when they care deeply, their advice isn’t always objective. In counseling, I listen with empathy, provide professional guidance, and help you uncover patterns, gain insight, and discover healthier ways of coping.
Research has shown that therapy can create lasting change—even influencing the way the brain functions—so the benefits often extend far beyond our sessions.
Who Can Benefit from Individual Counseling?
Because every person’s story is unique, I tailor counseling to meet your specific needs. Individual therapy can be especially helpful if you are:
- Coping with grief, trauma, or loss
- Managing anxiety, depression, or stress
- Facing career dissatisfaction or life transitions
- Struggling with low self-esteem or self-doubt
- Seeking personal growth and greater self-awareness
Therapy is not about “fixing” you. It’s about creating a supportive relationship where you feel understood, empowered, and safe to grow. In this space, you can explore who you are, clarify what you want, and take meaningful steps toward building a life that feels true to your values.
